WHAT’S NEW!

Back To School Supply Drive

2020 update

As we approach this upcoming school year, preparation for our families and students will be a unique challenge as Chicago Public Schools, and other school districts, move to remote learning.
This means that students will need adequate technology to be present and available for their online learning.

Chromebooks and tablets are crucial items for our students as they strive for academic success in this unique environment. Access to a device is essential for remote learning, and we are working to assure that none of our children have to worry about how they will access their online materials.

At Child Link we take pride in getting our students to graduation, and we will continue to help our foster children succeed in school. It is our duty to keep our children connected while they are isolated at home.
Suggested donations:

Chrome Books or tablets for remote learning
Cases for Chrome Books and tablets
Ear buds/headphones
Notebooks
Pens and pencils
Binders

If you are willing to donate, we ask that items be shipped to our office at 955 W. Cermak Road, Chicago Illinois, or you may contact us at info@childlnk.org or 312-377-4735 to schedule a contactless drop off.
If you are unable to donate supplies but still wish to donate, you may make a cash donation here.
Your donation will go to providing these supplies to children in need around the Chicagoland area. We are looking forward to setting up all of our students for a success academic year! Thank you for your help.

Local favorite bands El Rando and Evil Burrito will each play for about 90 minutes.  Your first beer is included in the price of admission.  All proceeds benefit Child Link and Beds Plus.

The safety and comfort of guests, volunteers, the bands and staff is of the utmost importance.

–        Attendance will be limited to 70 ticketholders.  All tickets must be bought on line.  No tickets will be sold at the door.

–        Masks will be required at all times when not seated at a table, regardless of social distancing, including while dancing.

–        The event will be in the parking lot.  The indoor of Blue Nose will be open for purchase of beer and use of restrooms only.

–        Staff, volunteers and band will gently remind those who may forget the requirement.  On the third ask, you will be told to leave the event without refund.  Sorry if this seems harsh, but it is imperative we provide a safe environment for all.  If you are at all uncomfortable with this policy, please consider other ways of contributing to these worthy causes.

–        Volunteers will be floating around handing out raffle tickets to those who are in compliance with the mask policy.  Raffle tickets for valuable prizes will be drawn throughout the evening.

–        Should the event be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, ticket holders will be offered a refund, less cost of processing.  In the event of inclement weather, an alternate date to be determined with Blue Nose management and the bands.  The event will be held moderate rain (no lightning) or shine.

–        A taco truck will be available for food purchase from approximately 7:30 to 9:30
